Overview
Kim is chair of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Services and has extensive experience auditing and managing various types of employee benefit plans. Throughout her career, she has been providing audit, accounting and tax services to employee benefit plans, business trade associations, charitable organizations, community foundations and closely held businesses.
Kim is current with the all standards and requirements under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
As chair of the CPE Committee for Boyer & Ritter, Kim has oversight of the Firms Continuing Professional Education compliance and training.
Employee Benefit Plan Audits
- Manage, plan and perform employee benefit audits of defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, and health and welfare plans
- Ensure compliance with plan documents, as well as ERISA and DOL requirements
- Organize and compile audit reports to convey audit findings to client’s high-level management
- Review and determine the effectiveness of internal controls, policies and procedures; appraising the soundness, adequacy and application of controls in new and established systems and procedures
External Audit
- Manage, develop, implement and review engagement work plans to successfully complete audits
- Perform and reviewing audit procedures to gain sufficient knowledge to support the audit opinion issued
- Preparing and review clients’ financial statements
- Provide advice, information and research to clients to assist in their management responsibilities
- Manage large and complex audits, including several engagements with consolidating entities
Tax Services
- Prepare and reviewing Form 5500 tax filings
- Prepare federal and state tax filings for closely held corporations and partnerships
- Prepare federal and state tax filings for not-for-profit organizations
