John Allen returns to Boyer & Ritter CPAs and Consultants

CAMP HILL, PA – Boyer & Ritter LLC is pleased to announce the return of seasoned accountant and auditor John Allen, CPA, who spent the past four years working in-house for a privately-owned manufacturer with international distribution.

After a decade of work with Boyer & Ritter, Allen left the firm to streamline operations as director of finance at Zeigler Brothers, an animal feed manufacturer based in Gardners, PA.

At Zeigler, he spearheaded several efficiency projects, implementing automation in accounting and manufacturing to reduce redundancy and manual input to minimize errors. He also handled accounting, IT, HR and management responsibilities.

“Coming back to Boyer & Ritter, I have a better understanding of what clients experience,” Allen said. “Business owners want to know how to be more profitable and my recent corporate experience is invaluable in helping them reach their goals.’’

His enjoyment of helping clients succeed spurred his return to public accounting at Boyer & Ritter. “I want to help clients stabilize and grow,” he said. Allen’s practice concentrations will be in the small business, manufacturing, and construction industries.

In his free time, Allen is an avid outdoorsman who has written about his adventures for Pennsylvania Angler and Boater Magazine. He serves as treasurer for Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association and is on the Board of Directors for Carlisle Summerfair. Allen is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Cumberland.

Allen grew up in Duncannon and attended Susquenita High School before graduating from Shippensburg University with a BS in Business Administration. He earned his CPA certification in 2009.
