Boyer & Ritter Director John Allen receives Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s 2023 Young Leaders Award
CAMP HILL, PA – John W. Allen, a Director with Boyer & Ritter, has received the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Young Leaders Award for members under 40 who demonstrate excellence in the profession.
Allen is a CPA and is co-chair of the firm’s Manufacturing practice group. As a coach and mentor, he is also responsible for the professional development of staff members.
He started his career at Boyer & Ritter in 2006 and then left for four years to streamline operations as director of finance at Zeigler Brothers, an animal feed manufacturer based in Gardners, PA. He returned to Boyer & Ritter in 2020.

Allen grew up in Duncannon and attended Susquenita High School before graduating from Shippensburg University with a BS in Business Administration. He earned his CPA certification in 2009.
In his free time, Allen is an avid outdoorsman who has written about his adventures for Pennsylvania Angler and Boater Magazine. He serves as treasurer for the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association as well as the Central Pennsylvania Conservancy.
