Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in the automotive community joins Boyer & Ritter’s growing Dealership Services Group
CAMP HILL, PA – Christopher M. Merkey, who oversaw the financial operations for four area automotive dealerships, is bringing his more than 20 years of industry experience to Boyer & Ritter CPAs and Consultants.
Merkey joins Boyer & Ritter as a manager in the firm’s Dealership Service Group, which serves more than 270 dealerships and is among the largest specialized automotive dealership accounting practices in the Mid-Atlantic community.
“Dealerships are in a highly competitive market and face unique challenges,’’ Merkey said. “I look forward to using what I learned working within the industry to help Boyer & Ritter’s clients realize their strategic goals.’’
After graduating cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bloomsburg University, Merkey joined Manderbach Ford in Hamburg, Pa., as its controller, a position he subsequently held with two other dealerships. Before joining Boyer & Ritter, Merkey was the controller for Carlisle-based Kenworth of Pennsylvania, a truck sales, equipment and service company.
