Boyer & Ritter COO Lisa Myers named among Forbes “America’s Top 200 CPAs”
CAMP HILL, PA – Forbes has named Boyer & Ritter COO Lisa Myers on its list of “America’s Top 200 CPAs,” the first time the business magazine has compiled a national list of top professionals in the accounting field.
“Created exclusively by Forbes editorial staff, it is a compilation of the finest CPAs active in public practice, culled from a collection of candidates sourced through independent nominations and accolades from every society and association of CPAs,’’ the magazine’s editors wrote in announcing the list. “Whether you’re struggling with the demands of your business or find yourself needing to account for your audacious success, these are the ones you need.”
Myers, who also chairs Boyer & Ritter’s Advisory Services Group, was elected the firm’s first female partner in 1999 and, in 2016, served as Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (PICPA) fourth woman president in its more than 100-year history. For the AICPA, Myers is also a past Council Member and Past Committee Member, for the AICPA National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion.
In May, Myers will begin her appointment to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) Executive Committee, which assists accounting firms with information related to the intricacies of running an accounting practice. Also in May, she will begin her appointment to the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation Board of Directors.
For the past two years, the Central Penn Business Journal named Myers as one of the region’s Power Players in its Power 100 List and in the CPBJ Power List for finance.
Throughout her career, Myers has committed herself to advancing the accounting profession and attracting new talent to the field.
