Important Update: Waiver of Accelerated Sales Tax Prepayments

Certain businesses that collect Pennsylvania sales tax are required to make accelerated sales tax prepayments based on prior year’s sales tax liability. As part of the COVID-19 relief provided by Pennsylvania, Governor Wolf announced today, businesses subject to the accelerated sales tax prepayment provisions are not required to make these payments in April, May, or June of 2020.  The Department of Revenue will not charge any penalties during this period of time if the prepayments are not made.
