Boyer & Ritter welcomes two associates
CAMP HILL, PA – Boyer & Ritter CPAs and Consultants, one of the region’s largest accounting firms, is pleased to announce the hiring of accountants Patrick T.R. Charvat and Christina Beck.
Charvat, a CPA who joins Boyer & Ritter as a Tax Associate, previously worked for KPMG LLP in Harrisburg, where he prepared and reviewed federal international and local returns for clients in the energy, manufacturing and real estate sectors.
The Lower Allen Township resident also provided guidance to clients on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), including the repeal of Section 199 deductions, intended to provide tax breaks for domestic production activities. While at KPMG, Charvat received multiple incentive awards for the quality of his work.
Charvat earned a B.S. degree in Accounting with a minor in Information Systems from Susquehanna University in 2017, where he ranked 11th in his class.
While at Susquehanna, he served as vice president of finance for Susquehanna’s Phi Mu Delta fraternity and mentored teams of students for the school’s Global Business Perspectives class.
Beck joins Boyer & Ritter as an Associate in the firm’s State College office. She previously interned with Keiffer & Associates CPA in Lock Haven, where she provided bookkeeping services and completed state tax filings for local small businesses.
The Halfmoon Township, Centre County resident earned B.S. degrees in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Finance from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude.
While at Lock Haven, Beck worked for the university’s Tutorial Services, assisting students in intermediate and financial accounting and training tutors. Among her other campus activities, she served as president and co-founder of the Lock Haven University Business and Accounting Club.
