Professional History
Lisa has over 20 years of experience providing auditing, accounting and consulting services to associations, civic and community societies, charitable organizations, educational institutions, community foundations, social clubs, and governmental entities. She works closely with the firm’s Governmental and Not-for-Profit Groups and has extensive experience serving clients who are subject to the Single Audit Act Requirements.
Lisa is an integral member of B&R’s Forensic, Valuation, and Litigation Support Services Group and has extensive experience serving those in need of fraud and forensic accounting services. She served as the lead investigator on white collar crime investigations which to date has resulted in the discovery of over $4,500,000 of misappropriated assets.
Professional Activities
Lisa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and the Forensic CPA Society. Lisa is a Past-President of the South Central Chapter of the PICPA, as well as an active member of the following committees: Forensic and Litigation Services, Lifestyles and Family Issues, Local Government Accounting and Auditing, and Not-for-Profit.
She is a member of the Accounting Advisory Committee for Harrisburg Area Community College, and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO). She also served on the Finance and Audit Committees of the Carlisle Area Health and Wellness Foundation.
She was honored as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business in 2001; received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Mount Union High School in 2002; was recognized by the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg as a Women of Excellence in 2009, and was selected as one of the region’s 25 Women of Influence in 2010.
She received the Certificate of Educational Achievement from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in recognition of successful completion of an integrated program in Governmental Accounting and Auditing. She has also attended various national AICPA conferences including the National Not-for-profit and Governmental Conferences.
Lisa has earned her Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA) designations; from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Society of Forensic Certified Public Accountants, both leading providers of anti-fraud training and education. She has also earned her Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), the premier organization of professionals representing the valuation and financial forensic consulting committees.
