B&R Releases Tangible Property Regulation Toolkit

Boyer & Ritter, LLC released extensive tools and templates to assist CPA firms and large companies in implementing the highly complex tangible property regulations (TPRs) issued by the IRS. B&R’s TPR Tools and Templates© are a compilation of Word, pdf, Excel, and voice files covering TPR examples (completed 3115s to client communications), tools, templates, and related supporting training for a firm or large business to use to implement the TPRs for its clients or Company.

The IRS TPRs are the most dramatic changes in tax law to affect for profit businesses since the overhaul of the Internal Revenue Code in 1986. All taxpayers with depreciable property and/or material and supplies will be required to comply with these new regulations no later than the due date of their 2014 tax returns. In all likelihood, this new compliance will include changes in the Company’s internal processes, as well as annual elections and filings of multiple federal IRS Form 3115, Application for Change in Accounting Method.

“As we developed this for our own internal use, we thought we would offer the Toolkit to CPA firms throughout the Country. To date, we have over 100 firms or Companies using our TPR Toolkit. Those CPA practices range from the small 4-5 person firm to firms with 20+ offices,” says Robert J. Murphy, Boyer & Ritter’s Principal and CEO. “The benefits to clients can be significant, non-compliance can be costly, but it is also a new revenue opportunity for firms.”

The participating firms access our TPR Toolkit from a secure Boyer & Ritter portal. Led by nationally known expert Eric P. Wallace, CPA, our dedicated team of experts continually monitors and updates our TPR Toolkit “real time” as the IRS is regularly issuing additional updates (e.g. Friday, January 24, 2014 release).

For additional information on B&R’s TPR Tools and Templates© contact Eric Wallace, ewallace@cpabr.com or his assistant Bobbi Wenner, bwenner@cpabr.com or call 717-761-7210. Click here for additional information.
